Following last week’s announcement that Krabi’s Maya Bay will close from August to September, other outdoorsy spots in the province also plan to temporarily close for restoration. The Mu Ko Lanta National Park has announced in a legal notice that several islands in its area will close from May 16 to October 14. The islands to close are Rok Nai Island, Rok Nok Island, Hngai Island, Hah Island, Hin Daeng Hin Muang, and Khao Mai Kaew Cave. All well and good, but when the “half-informed” start considering holiday destinations, it just adds uncertainty as to what’s open. 

“How about Thailand?” 
- “Oh, some of the islands are closed aren’t they?” 
“Yeah, I heard about that… let’s check out Bali”

Look like i was right when i say they mess it up within a year they cant help themself they can not plan or control start to wonder if they can do anything at all

I may be reading too much in-between the lines of that article (I had to, in order to make some sense out of them), but it seems that islands are made subject to a rotational scheme in which islands are closed for 1-2 months to allow ecologies to recuperate after an invasion of tourists. If so, it's not a bad idea per se, but it feels like applying a hammer where tweezers would do at least as well to achieve some balance.
