That dull collective uniformity would explain the slavish near-total mask wearing here (even with Omicron literally everywhere now), simply not seen anywhere else. 
Mask abandonment will therefore be difficult & painfully slow.

Sorry but I can count on one hand the amount of people I've seen in the UK with masks on in the last six months and they're generally cranks.

I'd be amazed if the UK ever goes back to wearing face masks. 

They got away with it at first because covid was new so people complied but even then begrudgingly. Now no chance. 

My worry is Thailand will try and keep this mandate throughout the high season when the vast majority of tourists will arrive so they can fine them. 

I would wear a mask in shopping centers if I had to but outdoors no way and I think most Europeans would feel the same. Its absolutely pointless to wear one outside
