After a German tourist in Phuket was rescued after getting stuck between rocks last week, another German tourist in the island province is also in a tricky situation. The 76 year old woman, who so far has only been identified as Ms. Barbara, reportedly went missing from a hotel in Thalang district on Monday (May 9). Classic alzheimers, doesn't know the way home, she needs a carer to help her daily.

Sad, but her family (if any) are probably in denial of her condition (too busy, etc) and helped her board the plane  here.

Hope she is fine.

And more often than not, the afflicted person refuses assistance.  Until you have to care for one of these people, you may not appreciate how difficult they are to manage.

Is this becoming a thing just like foreigners falling from balconies in Bangkok and Pattaya? Now foreigners getting lost in Phuket?
