Ukraine/Russian Conflict - General Discussion
Think he is with the Germans and French and sucking up to Russia, until Russians start kicking down doors in both countries, then they'll scream the loudest. Merkles politics (for Germany) and alignment and dependance on Russia for many years is very much responsible for Germanys attitude and dependence on Russia. Macron is finally waking up that he is being left behind politically (he's becoming a bad joke and a French embarrassment). I'll give him a ring and talk with him. dope. Then the penny finally dropped with Macron that Putin is not a resonable person. How do you negotiate with a mad man, who threatens his neighbours daily, so there is no peaceful negotiated solution with a bully. People like this gentlemen think all of mankind are people that can be reasoned with, he just needs to talk with them. -

Ukraine/Russian Conflict - General Discussion
Anybody that questions the holy beliefs that Ukraine will win the war, that Russia is struggling & broken on it’s knees and that good always beats evil. Some people also call them realists. -

Ukraine/Russian Conflict - General Discussion
It took a Nuclear Specialist to tell Putin what he was doing and the damage to his troops occupying the site in Tents to listen otherwise they would still be there. Clueless or not giving a toss what the implications of his action would be to the Environment. -

Ukraine/Russian Conflict - General Discussion
Mearsheimer is a modern version of Kissinger. A realist who isn’t very realistic. In Mearsheimer’s world the strong get to demand from the weak. A step back to the world pre 1945, with the same outcome. There are two main problems with is line of thinking. First that Russian interests are paramount and those countries near them have no interests. Second in making Russia feel secure. About a dozen countries with a total population twice that of Russia, must allow the Russians to write their security policy and in doing so give up their sovereignty. That was never going to happen.- 2
