A car bomb and a gun fight wreaked havoc in Myawaddy Township in Myanmar last night. The car bomb, suspected to have been left in a pickup truck, exploded at an immigration building near the border with Thailand. The remains of the pickup truck suspected of carrying the bomb were found near a border checkpoint. After the bomb went off, armed anti-government rebels arrived at the building and fought a gun battle with the Myanmar troops guarding the building and border checkpoint. I know "Tak province". But have never heard about "Tax Province". Unless it was introduced as the 77th province after pandemic.......

 Myanmar junta chief Min Aung Hlaing called for peace between the government and Myanmar’s many rebel groups. 

Maybe he is finally realising that the rebel problem isn't going away, same for the sanctions on his Govt.

Now we have the "Lets save face " and tell the world that "we have truly been misunderstood and are doing all this for the betterment of the Myanmar people". ( well for the select few at least).

Turn the screws a bit tighter it is starting to work.
