People in Thailand will be allowed to grow “as many cannabis plants” as they like in their own homes from June 9, according to Thailand’s health minister and medical marijuana king Anutin Charnvirakul. However… If you don’t read the fine print you can still get into trouble with the law. As usual, the fine print is confusing. Condition #1: The plants must be medical grade cannabis used for medicinal purposes only. Growing marijuana for recreational use is not allowed. Condition #2. You must inform the authorities first. Anutin says people will not need to officially register to grow weed at […]

"Condition #1: The plants must be medical grade cannabis used for medicinal purposes only. Growing marijuana for recreational use is not allowed"

This is just stupid.

This is the equivalent of allowing a bar to be opened, a beer to be ordered, but you aren't allowed to drink it when it arrives.

Even for Thailand this is...

The words "raving looney" come to mind. Anutin is a past master at opening his mouth before his brain is engaged, and once again he spreads nothing but confusion. The other departments must be tearing their hair out at having to quickly clarify what he is spouting. The thought of having such a loose cannon as the future PM sends shivers down one's spine.

Not so.  They word it that way in order to retain a legal basis to prosecute dealers or distributers of recreational drugs. Its clever, not stupid, if your aim is to partly control the trade.

Don't forget your home-grown cannot have more than .02% thc in the buds.  Nevermind that this is basically a physical impossibility given the genetics of the global modern weed crop.

Unless its hemp....then you can make your rope and sacks ...0.2 % thc will provide no medicinal benefits whatsoever..and if they say its 0.3%. Well you know what happens next. And they know where you live..complete and utter nonsense from a clueless. ***

So the cannabis leaf we grow may be used in poultices and herbal teas, hence 'medical-grade' but any flowers or buds must be destroyed?  Burning ok? 🔥

Ridiculous moronic nonesense charade. Either let the people have the real deal with a couple of plants or they need to stop floating the story that growing is ok.

Future pm lol! He’s a Prayut appointee! Right now the northeast is making the current PM name coincide with a popular  farm animal!

In America the states that allows the use for medical cannabis started this way - only for medical use. Then the fake medical cards starting showing up, than it was legalized. Wasn’t long after all kinds of cannabis shops started to appear. Than tons of people started losing there jobs when injured at work because they couldn’t pass a drug test. Than the unemployment rate shot thru the roof due to business that require drug test before hiring. Now most of the states have a greater amount of homeless people 🤔 not to mention DUI percentages went up - it’s basically a DWI. I do not  have a problem with cannabis I just chose not to do it. Good luck!!
