Thaiger Posted April 9, 2022 #191270 Share Posted April 9, 2022 The spirit of Songkran is in Thailand’s air, as is heavy traffic, as Bangkok residents make road trips to the Northeastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima today. Motorway 6, or M6, in Pak Chong district, is not yet open to public travel. It will be open to drivers for two periods: before Songkran from April 11 to 14, and after Songkran from April 15 to 18, from 6am to midnight. The area is reportedly heavy with traffic. Thais across the country are returning to their home provinces to be with their families for the Songkran holiday. Grant Posted April 9, 2022 #191281 Share Posted April 9, 2022 Please make a note to tell everyone driving that speeding Kills! Overtaking caution with on coming traffic! Dont’t drive on the wrong side of road! Slow down and get there in one piece! It’s a total nightmare how Thais have no regard to speeding and overtaking!

And tailgating, Lane switching, Working lights, riding in the back of pickups, seat belts and no mobile phones or even watching movies while driving. Total nut jobs.

Mandy Posted April 10, 2022 #191587 Share Posted April 10, 2022 I'd lived in Cyprus for 12 years and believe me, its much worse there as they drive with an arrogance and entitlement that thais don't have or not that I've come across, well except the white passenger buses that love to tailgate. Mandy Posted April 10, 2022 #191588 Share Posted April 10, 2022 That's not to say that the driving standard is below par, but I've driven in worse places
