Why do you all continue to argue this MCAS business with Stardust without asking for a link to back up his claims? You are only melting your own brains and I am nearly out of popcorn.

So lets forget the "western media" and see if the aircraft manufacturer, Boeing, thinks there are design differences in the Max to the NG version/range of the 737.  

"The 737 MAX is the newest addition to the already most fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft on the market -- the Next-Generation 737. The MAX will feature substantial environmental improvements, including using 13 percent less fuel with a corresponding reduction in carbon emissions, and a 40 percent smaller community noise footprint compared to its predecessor.

The better environmental performance comes from a package of design and technology advances, including quieter and more fuel-efficient engines, an aerodynamically improved tail section that reduces drag on the aircraft, and the Advanced Technology winglet, a “dual-feather” split winglet design, which is more efficient than any other wingtip currently in use on a single-aisle airplane."

Sorry, but that seems to indicate the manufacturer thinks there are design differences. Or is the manufacturing company itself part of this fake news campaign?

I can't remember exactly what happened but an Asian pilot had problems with his 737 max in his words it was like a roller coaster he could not understand why it was perorperformingming like this. He asked his second officer to look quickly at the pilots' problem-solving booklet thinking the Mcass was the culprit. He was astonished that there wasn't even a mention in the list about MCASS so he turned off the AutoPilot and manually flew his plane to the nearest airport.

Rather than speculation, maybe better to wait for the report - and this time they have a bit more than some wreckage to go on. And it is not necessarily even a technical issue - clear air turbulence can cause sudden drops in altitude as well.

Old idea double wingtips, Airbus was using this design before Boeing like on the A380.

The winglets and cone is for stabilization of the different weight if they use another engine/new developed engine. Yes Airbus has this too and if there are new engines with a different weight than the former they can trim it over the winglets/wingtips or cone.

A Pito tube is a long pipe that usually sticks out in front or on the side of the front of the aircraft these tubes are sensors reading outside temperature, wind and air pressure, navigation, and the angle the aircraft is flying. normally there are 3 or more Pito tubes with backup gauges if any of them get blocked by Ice or other objects blocking the Pito Tubes on the 737 Max they thought they could do away with most backup systems because their MCASS software was superior so they didn't need them and they only installed minimal Pito's.
