My 10 year old daughter is persistently watching U Tube so it's reassuring to learn that it's not 100% crap but that she might actually learn something useful from it! As a kid in Ireland fireworks were banned so we had to learn to make our own! By 10 I was quite accomplished at making pipe bombs! Copper pipe was the norm, but pram handle was spectacular shattering into shrapnel rather that the simple split of copper!

Need more investment in public activity centers, neighborhood swimming pools, soccer fields, etc. When kids have nothing constructive to do, they'll find something destructive to do.

In the USA many of us tinkered with fireworks and did fun things with them as in my day we as kids were always up to many outdoor shennanigans we could get into. Yes they may have been a little dubious agaisnt the law back then, but in the old days kids were kids. This Thai kid who is 18 yrs of age should know better of what he was doing and that it was not just fun but was illegal and against the law. with his logic, he might as well go get a hand gun and start shooting it up in the air.
