The silent means of transportation! After living in California for a few years it prepared me for being constantly vigilant when approaching sidewalks and roads!

And now living here it’s becomes second nature  to practice these cautions!

These electric vehicles are a threat to pedestrian safety, scooters, cars !

What about the rest of Thailand???  What about other areas in Bangkok too?   Can you drive from Chiang Mai to BKK on 1 charge?

You need the infrastructure before pushing the EV cars.

Will they allow EV cars to park in mall underground parking?  What about within condo parking garages?
The Lithium batteries can blow up ...

This will be like every other initiative in Thailand. It’s a token gesture. They can report to the various international monitoring groups of progress:

Implemented tax incentives ✅

Provding free charging points ✅

Committed to being carbon neutral ✅

Just the usual flannel that will go nowhere, but it gets them a tick in the box and gets them an invite to the next COP meeting.

Not all internal combustion engines cars have their mufflers gone 😂, especially newer cars, which are very quiet, and one usually can hear tires rolling on the road.  Even my skinny road bicycle tires makes some noise while rolling on the road.  If in a city environment lets hope pedestrians are looking before crossing, but here in Thailand not always the case.  Current motorbikes “scooters” are not a safety issue to pedestrians now? 😂

according to BOI, the major source of power generation in Thailand comes from natural gas, contributing to 66% of the total share. The other significant sources are coal and lignite which make up 21% of the share. Renewable energy currently only represents 3% of the power produced in Thailand. adding EV to this equation would only increase carbon footprint, because efficiency of power generation is much lover than producing traditional fuel

Seeing as there is virtually no infrastructure for recharging (outside of Benjakitti Park) be prepared to actually "push" those electric vehicles

First bad accident in Thailand occurred last night on beach road in Pattaya with a Tesla, luckily nobody was electrocuted, but one person was treated for shock.
