A second autopsy of the body of Thai actress Nida “Tangmo” Patcharavirapong was conducted yesterday afternoon by the Central Institute of Forensic Science at Thammasat University Hospital in Bangkok. The actress’ mother, Panida Sirayootyotin, requested the re-examination to confirm her daughter’s cause of death and to dispel any skepticism surrounding the high-profile investigation. Tangmo drowned in the Chao Phraya River in Nonthaburi north of Bangkok on the night of February 24, after allegedly falling from a speedboat on which she had been partying with five other people. The resulting investigation, which today enters its fourth week, has been mired with […]

So far, only the boat owner “Por” and skipper “Robert” have been charged with driving an unlicensed vessel and negligence leading to death.

One may wonder or ask how many Thai's have fallen off the back of a unregistered pickup truck while going for a pee🙂

It certainly would appear the actress did not go to the back of the boat to pee.  The big question is how she ended up in the water and how the gash to the leg happened.  If she was at the back of the boat and fell in she would be either right of the outboard motor or left of it.  The thrust of the boat if that is what actually caused her to go into the water would have thrown her both left or right of the propeller and away from it.

It is far more likely that the leg injury if caused by a propeller was done by the boat either putting the boat into reverse or alternatively running over her while looking for her.  If either of those happened why not admit it.  It was an accident.  It is also "possible" that Tangmo was driven over by another boat.

It is certainly clear that the people on the boat were making up stories and that leads to a complete distrust of virtually anything they have to say.  Also their behavior following the accident is not consistent with someone concerned over a person who accidentally went overboard.  You would immediately call authorities and not wait for hours to do so.

Quite a number amongst the Thai general public, from all reports.

50% of our household care and there are two people living here and I don't care, I hope that narrows it down a bit.

No one,  if you ask her "friends" on that speedboat.

Seems consistent to me with a fall over the bow. Drunks love doing the whole Thaitanic routine stood at the bow with arms outstretched. Boat hits a wake or a log when some moron is doing that and they are straight over the front and under the boat. Of course that would mean the skipper is more responsible for her death. Your comment about her leg getting cut when they were searching is also a fair one. At least as plausible as the claim she was peeing and fell into the prop.

I wonder if the people that leaked the dreadful pics of her will face charges too? Dozens of pics are easily found online. Don't bother searching unless you have a cast iron stomach. A day and night in the Chao Phraya is not kind to the skin.

That certainly is plausible but then why not admit it.  If she was drunk and accidentally fell off the bow of the boat it is still an accidental death.  Why make up the story that she went to the back with a body suit and during her period to pee.

Because she was pushed?

The stinker in this is that her “friends” and her manager admitted that she fell off the boat and that they just had packed up and went home. That’s just not right especially if it was an accident or a mystery. “Where’s Daeng Moh?” “She fell off the boat, haven’t since her since. Kin khao leung?”

Well there certainly is something that is not correct.  If she was pushed, Why?  Was she being pressed to have sex and when she refused pushed?  If that was the case how do you enlist cooperation from all the 5 people onboard.

For sure the changing story and the fact they dumped wine bottles overboard, changed the time of a picture to reflect a later time, they did not contact authorities immediately, all serve to reinforce that they are not telling the truth.

I'll speculate that drugs and alcohol were consumed and a serious argument ensued which resulted in some pushing and shoving.  As to why they delayed any report of the incident and lied to police, we may never know, but people do some very stupid things when under the influence and stressed.

Again, I agree but I do find it out of the realm of possibilty that all five on board would concoct a story without either being induced or coerced to do so.  The fact that all 5 originally said she went to the back of the boat to pee was orchestrated.  The fact that all 5 chose not to call police was here again coordinated.  That means they are "hiding" something.  If it was an accident whether alcohol or drug influenced why not admit it.  That is accidental.  I suspect this was not accidental and that all 5 played some part in the death which is why they are all in lock step with each other.
