Under-reported?  Nah...    Our tambon had (according to actual cases sent to the local hospital) 63 cases.  The neighbouring tambon had 101.  The whole Amphur had god knows how many.

Yet....  according to the Government's [fantasy] report on covid cases, the entire Chiang Wat has less than our local tambon.

hmmmm

PCR confirmation is required.

if your PCR capacity is for example 25000 you will never exceed this figure.

Most definitely under reported. Yet still leas than 70 new deaths per day. That's what you need to pay attention to.

During all of last year the positivity rate of PCR tests was around 35%-40%, which is an astonishing number. To give you an example for comparison, in the US the rate never got above 3%-5%.

In Malaysia next door, with 1/3 of the population, they were conducting more PCR tests daily for most of last year. Thailand had found a basic, and crude, way to look respectable on the global Covid table.
