And the government keeps talking about afluent high quality billionaire tourists. What Thailand needs to do is to attract mainstream tourists, that would benefit all Thais, not least those with small businesses.

My mental health is just fine, thank you.
(The goats... they are organizing)
I have maintained my equilibrium beautifully.
(Turkeys can't fly, can they? No, I am safe)
My thoughts haven't wavered.
(People have always had tentacles, haven't they?)
My emotions haven't gotten the better of me.
(Oh God! The whiteboard has grown ears!)
I am as strong and sane as I always was.
(Shh! The furniture is listening)
Pity those weaklings who couldn't handle a little Covid isolation.
(The Subterranean Mole people will save us. The Subterranean Mole people will save us)
Ha! I beat Covid.
(Ok No! The Lizard People! Run!)

Maybe they can develop an App that Thais can use to lift their spirits. Daily motivational quotes, pictures of sunrises (not sunsets, those are negative), lucky numbers, recipes for how to make a meal last a month, and a classified section where locals can sell vital organs or even family members.

The restrictions were designed to make everyone suffer the same, whether they got covid or not,

The billionaire tourist is in Dubai banging the high end Thai escorts that have flown there for work. No reason for them to go to Thailand, when they can have Thailand brought to them.

Or simply phone the Fortune Teller they told everyone they had been employed, and get him to look into his crystal ball for help.

It is Sunday evening. Can we talk about 'banging prostitutes'' now?

I consider it to be beneficial for mental health.

As for restrictions, the Test & Go pause was incredibly damaging. The government encouraged businesses to prepare (spend) for the big reopening and then cut short “high season” just when it started. I saw a number of businesses in my Silom / Sathorn area finally call it quits in January. These are lives too that no one cares about.

Now with bad press at home, people are hesitant about visiting Thailand due to shifting rules and scams. Test & Go 2.0 is a disaster. American and European tourists will largely only go to vacation destination as or less restrictive than home. Why would you you travel from the USA pay $2,000 for the privilege of wearing a mask outside in 35 degree temperatures?

Oh yeah and the pause did absolutely nothing in slowing or stopping covid.

Thailand has fallen behind in economic progress and worsened poverty during covid. All of this to potentially help elderly or sick people live an extra year or two.

Meanwhile young healthy teenagers, 20s 30s with extraordinarily low risk have had their lives destroyed for more than 2 years now.

It was written on a Saturday night. Which is the perfect time to put it down in words.
