Post writing Tips

Here are some tips to help you write great forum posts!

When writing your messages, please use the same courtesy that you would show when speaking face-to-face with someone. A comment that would get you punched in the face probably needs to be reworded!

The shorter the post, the sometimes more effective it is! If you can try and limit your posts to 10 lines or less, it will really help all the readers!

DON’T SHOUT IT ALL OUT! The overuse of CAPS can cause offence. Try to minimise the use of Bold and CAPS to only stress occasional words and not the whole post. Otherwise, people may SHOUT BACK!

So, according to the pic, these high-risk, self isolating people go out to a collection point to receive their bag????

At one point, the average monthly income in Phuket fell to 1,961 baht per month.

There's no point being 'nice' about this since the point has been made several times before that this is absolute, complete rubbish but it still gets trotted out regularly as if it's based on fact.

It's completely untrue, as has been shown several times with links to the Prince Of Songkhla Uni study it's supposed to be based on.

The study found that the direct income from tourists (hotels, restaurant meals, tours, etc) had fallen to under a billion baht a month.

To come to the conclusion that "the average monthly income in Phuket fell to 1,961 baht per month", that direct income from tourists was divided by the entire population of Phuket: babies, 80 and 90 year olds, schoolchildren, teachers, nurses, construction workers, civil servants - the vast majority of whom had no direct income from tourists and never had had any.

It's just complete nonsense and appalling misinformation.

Survival bags??

Instead of spending approx. 400 million dollars on 3 jets from the USA, distribute this to the people who have no income since the start of the pandemic.
