22 coronavirus-related deaths were reported by the CCSA today, raising the pandemic’s death toll in Thailand to 22,207 with 509 of those fatalities since the start of this year. In the 24-hour period since the last count, the CCSA recorded 8,587 new Covid-19 cases and 8,485 recoveries. There are now 83,094 people in Thailand being treated for Covid-19. Simple question, since the numbers given are falling - and they're probably correct, since the figures at least in 'my' province (Loei) are available split down to district and sub-district level so very easy to verify locally.

I was just joking 😅 No need to panic. To be honest I don't put a lot of stock in case numbers as much as I do death numbers, and deaths are relatively steady.

https://www.thairsc.com Reports 77 deaths on Thailands roads yesterday. Again no reports of this! I bet deat by “natural “ causes is even higher!

Thank you - unfortunately a number here echo the sentiment in your original post and they're not joking.

Cases and deaths are both easily available by district and sub-district in Loei, so easily verifiable first hand, and I doubt Loei is an exception.
