Land of Smiles!

You're absolutely right.

And being afraid of gun violence, you're gonna have to take a whole bunch of countries off your travel list. Maybe all of them?

I hear Netflix has some good TV shows you can watch. Or perhaps reruns of The Golden Girls might be more your cup of tea

The charges that the Thai man is facing [...] is for attempting to kill someone, and for carrying a firearm in the city, village, or public way without justifiable reason.

But seems, the "Thai man" (whose name is not revealed? Unusually, isn't it?) does have the gun rightfully? Just "no justifiable reason" to carry it at 4am  in the morning? All a bit smelly, already!

I'd suggest (as usual) reading the source report where the "Thai man" is named and the original author's repeated the known facts from the police reports without trying to score some cheap points.

But did he deserve it? Just teasing... I hope no one died. Stay safe and alert boys and girls.

Let this be a reminder for all those you think central and south America is such a great alternative to Asia. Far fewer gun problems here than there (generally speaking)

Land of Smiles!

Land of male, largely uneducated,  simpering, spoilt, mummy's boys, with a massive inferiority complex, and cowards to a 'man'.  I use the word 'man' advisedly.  No wonder Thai families are Matriarchal in nature,  the men are all pusses; in a bad way, not the good way.  Its no surprise that one of their most famous Muay Thai international champions  back in the day, was Transgender.  He changed from male to female to become more effective and respected.
