In return for delayed interest payments on new rail? Only one winner out of these deals.

Point took, but what's their motive? A 'free' asia?

See above.......

The RFA's mission highlights its commitment to providing freedom of access to true, fair and objective news to the several countries detailed. Do you see anything other than that and, if so, on what basis?

Hang on, I'm just having a pop at the yanks............😃

No one needs to take a pop at the 'yanks', Biden can do that single handedly. He just needs reminding who he is, what he is, where he is and what he had for breakfast. It's called profound cognitive impairment.

Thanks, @Poolie! I had more than an inkling that that was your initial, dubious-sounding 'sponsored by??' remark.

Laos licking the CCP’s behind. Nothing good will come from this. Shouldn’t be allowed to take away peoples land. Only ones compensated properly will be the ones getting the brown envelopes making this happen.

And the Laos Government starts to pay back the dept for the China-Laos-Thai Railway. What do they wanna get there hands on in Thailand?

A default (sorry "renegotiated terms", @Poolie) and long term lease to a Chinese LP is a foregone conclusion.

Along with a swath of land surrounding the rail line - presumably including mineral rights? China will exploit as it sees fit for... 35 or is it 50 years?

I'll bet 30 THB on this prediction! The question is, how quickly will this deal fall apart and fall into Chinese hands?

Your own articles say so.

Both puff pieces that tried to spin it couldn't gloss over the facts: China is a predatory lender.

Want to provide another article? :-)
