Despite objections from his counterparts, Cambodia’s leader and incumbent chair of the 10 member bloc, PM Hun Sen, confirmed he had invited Myanmar’s junta chief Min Aung Hlaing to the next ASEAN summit if he makes progress on a peace plan he agreed to last year. I like Hun Sen's approach. Chastised by western media he keeps steady on his path of achievements. One can only hope that the Laos Junta will lend him an ear. He was dragging Cambodia out of the aftermath of the Khmer Rough Era and has enough experience.
