News Forum - 5 countries’ representatives walk out when Russian official speaks in Bangkok
Prayut remarked Stronger countries should focus more on Humanitarian efforts. Maybe he should have asked the Russian delegate at the conference why his country will cause food shortages because they are blockading ports and not allowing wheat and Seeds to be Exported. -

News Forum - Travellers will still have to wear face masks post-endemic phase in Thailand
CM is different as most all wear them. Outside is a little different but most still wear them in people places. Still some foreingers you see don't, but they are probably frowned hard at depending on where they are. Restaurants are a have on when walking in, take off for eating, put back on when finished and getting out. Everyone at the malls wears a mask. In my car I don't, when running I don't, but all other places I do. Not that I like it but I am not going to be singled out or get subjected to backlash from it. -

News Forum - Japan government says masks not needed outside if you don’t talk too much
Absolutely. And that’s the problem with Thailand’s rules. They aren’t measures effective at preventing infection or curing those infected. They’re purely show—masks, Thai Pass, temperature checks, even quarantining the healthy. None of these do anything to prevent spread or cure disease. If those feeling unwell were the only ones wearing masks in public then you’d see real social distancing in action! But, no, Thai government thinks mandatory masks helps rather than doing things like acquire more Paxlovid for high risk people who do inevitably contract covid. But we never hear about that. -

News Forum - 5 countries’ representatives walk out when Russian official speaks in Bangkok
It is indeed sending a message to the people of the world but to claim the world will not deal with Russia, directly or indirectly, is naive. The world needs Russian oil, gas, wheat etc so the world must deal with Russia and also put money into Russia’s pocket. We may not like it but it is what it is. That is why I called it virtue signaling because at the end of the day the deals will still have to be made, albeit preferably behind closed doors away from the media spotlight. This walkout achieves nothing apart from good press from the West.
