  1. You forgot to mention an important detail after searching for "dual pricing venice" One of the articles mentioned: "However, the European Commission is changing this." Simply because it goes against the law. And another thing you forgot to mention: It's about residents, the handful of people actually living in Venice. If a Thai person was living in Venice he would get the same discounts. The last thing I heard about the NHS is that it's one of the reasons illegal immigrants like going to the UK. Easy access to free healthcare. Now give me a good example of dual pricing in Europe... I have never seen it. And for sure not like in Thailand.
  2. Ok, I pick The Netherlands. Just give me an example... There are discounts, but not based on nationality or race. The only discounts you will find are for example discounts with membership cards. You can buy one for museums, pay for a yearly subscription. These cards are maybe less interesting for someone who visits for a week. But if that person was living here they would be able to get the same.
  3. My international health insurance needs to approve the choice of hospital in Thailand. When I asked "WHY?" they told me that some hospitals in Thailand are much much more expensive than Hospitals in NL.
  4. In case someone ever wants to do the same... Here is my experience: After checking in we were allowed to use the priority lane at passport control. I was immediately taken to another desk where a friendly lady asked where we were going, how long and some other things that I have forgotten. I replied that we were going to visit relatives in the Netherlands for a few weeks. And told that I had the phone number of my girlfriend who was still waiting at the airport to give an additional explanation if necessary. The lady said that everything was fine and that it was not necessary. Maybe it helped that my daughter also has my last name. And maybe my very reliable looks played a part ;) But everything went very smooth. In the end it all took 5 minutes. I've never gotten through passport control so quickly. My daughter's Thai passport now has a stamp with the date and the flight number written on it.
  5. Really? Never saw dual pricing in the EU/Europe. The only place where I ever saw dual pricing before was when visiting museums in Russia and Ukraine. Thailand is really an exception here.
  6. According to "Airports of Thailand" https://www.airportthai.co.th/en/children-traveling-without-parents/ underage children can even travel without parents. There is even a handling fee of $30 for children traveling alone ;-) I hoped to get some answers from people who did the same. But I think it is better to call immigration.
  7. Hi, Sunday I will leave Thailand. I will go home to The Netherlands for a couple of weeks. I have a girlfriend, and we have a daughter together. My daughter is almost 2 years old, and she has a Thai and Dutch passport. Do I need a permission (written, signed, document) from my girlfriend to leave the country with our daughter? I know in The Netherlands I will probably not be able to leave the country without permission. If so, where and how to get this?
  8. And I am Dutch and I feel the same. The Chinese are responsible, the virus probably escaped from their lab (99% chance, everything points at that). They should be held financially responsible. Governments should seize all Chinese property abroad. The WHO is not credible anymore after that fake research in China.
  9. Other countries using other vaccines (not the Chinese junk) have very good experiences with vaccines. I don't know why you at this point think different about this. It's not about whether you get sick or not. The point is that you don't have to go to the hospital and you don't die. If that is the criterion, then the vaccinations work fine.
  10. Shot in the neck implies that he was shot from behind. That is almost always just murder.
  11. If that is your definition of being broke... Google "how many people in the us live paycheck to paycheck ?" "The Majority of U.S. Consumers Live Paycheck-to-Paycheck According to the research, 54 percent of consumers in the U.S. (125 million U.S. adults) are living paycheck-to-paycheck, with 21 percent of this population struggling to pay their bills, meaning they have little or no money left over after spending their income." Having no money in the bank is common for most people in the US. A country some people consider to be a rich country. And I am sure that in Europe it is not much better.
  12. Where I come from all people in hospitals now are: -Not vaccinated -Received only 1 dose of the vaccine -Are old, and their bodies didn't make enough antibodies after getting the vaccine to prevent them from getting ill. They now try to find out if a third dose would make a difference. The vaccine prevents you from getting very ill and dying. Why doesn't it live up to the definition of a vaccine? With the flu vaccine it is not much different, you can still get ill. But the chance is smaller, and if you get ill it is less serious. It is now also proven that vaccinated people can pass Covid on to others, but the chance of something like that happening is much smaller. Where does so much ignorance come from?
  13. But now the PM has created a working group. I am sure everything will be ok now. A working group is much better than a committee.
  14. That is not a scam. But... If I lived in the US, if I was married to a US citizen, if I had a job and paid tax. Could I get the same? Or would they say: 50 years ago you were born in Europe. You are not a US citizen! We will let you report your address to immigration every 90 days because you are a threat to national security. And you will pay double entrance fees for everything. Because that is what happens in Thailand.
  15. Yes. But if they had the coupon they would get the discount too. Where I come from the entrance to a museum can be 35 Euro. If you go to a second one you will pay 35 Euro again. You can also buy a subscription for E 60 that gives you access to all museums in my country for 1 full year. It is something you have to know. But also tourists can get this. That is very very different than picking people out of the line based on their color of skin and charging them double prices. No excuse for that kind of behaviour.
  16. That is too easy. You should make a test, half the country with Covid measures, and the other half without any. You don't know how it would be now without any Covid measures. Even with numbers going up, the measures can still have a positive effect. Maybe without measures you would see dying people lying on the street.
  17. That is why this country is such a mess. Look, smile and walk away. They should deport that American to where he came from. If you cannot follow the rules, just go back to your own country.
  18. It does not. You are posting 2 very questionable links. One anonymous website and one website that can be described as an activist/conspiracy website. The internet is full with lies. You are proving that the intertnet is a dangerous place for people just believing what is written there. For the most strange opinions you will find a website "proving" your imaginations.
  19. Yes. I support banning lies, false news and conspiracy theories. We have all been able to see where that can lead and what consequences that can have.
  20. I see the contrary: Countries where most people got their vaccine saw a decrease in cases. And hospital admissions often went to zero. What I also see is that youtube bans accounts spreading nonsense about Ivermectin. Maybe moderators here should do the same?
  21. Why do I need to know Mandarin to know about freedom of press in China? We all know what happens there. They are just disgusting murderers, liars with no respect for human rights. Dirty country.
  22. News in Mandarin is, considering the "freedom of press" in China, probably not the most reliable news source. From reliable sources, different sources, from different countries, we learned that Chinese vaccines do not work. It's with almost everything from China. You open the box and it looks nice. A week later it is broken. With vaccines it is the same. It looked nice in the beginning, but they do not work.
  23. Probably he knew that if Canada didn't sell it, someone else would. And probably he also knew that you would be here in this forum complaining about thousands of people in Canada losing their jobs.
  24. But proudly saying that saying that you are working closely with the Burmese military junta to supply military equipment just after they murdered about at thousand citizens is shameless. These people have no morals.
