  1. Exactly how is this related to Thailand? What possible reason would the Thaiger have for reporting such? At least news about Mayanmar has a direct affect on Thailand. Reporting on US politics is a waste of “good” journalism. Unless it directly related to Thailand, keep your paranoid anti Trump garbage to yourself, or try another line of work. We get enough of this stupid babble from the so called US “news channels”.
  2. Well, obviously if the price is much higher I will not be flying Thai Airways. Still, seems a shame. I would hope the upkeep of the aircraft meets ICAO standards. If not, it won’t take long for them to be banned from most other continents. At least I would hope…………..?
  3. We stayed at the Phuket Marriot Resort and Spa. It was wonderful. I do not have my final numbers but will pass along costs when I get back to Ohio. I used the MorChana app.
  4. I had to use Singapore Airlines from Los Angeles, through Singapore , to Phuket and back. There may have been 30 people from LAX to SIN. However, the flight from SIN to HKT had twice that amount. Coming out of HKT, I was one of five total passengers. My Fiancé s flight from HKT to BKK, an A320 aircraft was completely full. Seems Thai Smile Airlines may be doing better financially than Singapore Airlines………………….. However, I would much prefer to fly Thai Airways direct Los Angeles to Bangkok. I do hope they re-instate that route soon.
  5. I just finished 8 days in Phuket under the sandbox scheme. The only snag was procuring the Thai Certificate Of Entry COE. Had it not been for my Thai fiancé calling the Thai Embassy in Los Angeles, I would have never been approved due to the incredibly vague instructions, and I think poor IT set up of the COE website. Other than that I found all the other hoops I had to jump through to get to Phuket , such as the specific Covid insurance of 100,000.00USD, RCT-PRC every few days, downloading the tracking app, stringent SHA+ accommodations and transportation, I am sure I am forgetting something, it was a great trip. I have never come in contact with people so happy to see at least some tourists returning. The beauty of the island is unprecedented , and my fiancé and I largely had the whole of Mia Khao Beach to ourselves. Driving was a bit challenging, as the steering wheel and direction of traffic are all wrong. Just kidding, that was not hard to get use to, but I certainly see why there are SO MANY deaths on Thai roadways. I saw some incredibly dangerous things done by Thai drivers. Not that US drivers are great, but damn, if you actively drive on the wrong side of the road, you will be arrested and lose you license in the States, as I am sure is the case in UK, NZ, AUS, EUROPE. It was an amazing time and I enjoyed world class scenery. The place is just beautiful. Neither my fiancé nor I drink alcohol, so not having any bars was not at all a problem. There were still plenty of places open for dining. We had the best time and I hope the restrictions ease so more and more people will visit. The people of Thailand deserve it.
  6. Not the brightest bunch over at Amnesty International. Good hearts, shit for brains.
  7. If the architects of the current travel restrictions in Thailand want a national airline, they will reduce the restrictions and start allowing Thai Airlines to operate flights to and from other parts of the world. I would have loved to fly Thai Airways into my Phuket Sandbox vacation 8 days ago, but that was not an option. Therefore, Singapore Airlines was happy to take my money to fly LAX-SIN-HKT, and then reverse back to Los Angeles USA. Or, turn the A330 into freighters. Every other airline in the world almost has had major up-tic in revenue via cargo/freight. Airplanes, tourism, whatever, those hurt the most seem to have the least say in their fate.
  8. I will be the first one to admit I am not sinless Colin, I have faults and problems like we all do. However, I have seen the aftermath and consequences, it isn’t pretty. Reporting on it is one thing, showcasing some pimp bitching because he can’t be a pimp is quite another.
  9. Dear Thaiger, Unfortunately I just heard a stinking SOB of a creep who runs a girly bar, where he is upset that he can not even live stream the whoring of disadvantaged young Thai women. Wow. If I ever see a Thaiger program showcasing an F’ing piece of S-!t pimp again, I will stop all financial support. How pathetic, disgusting, and vile. Hey Thaiger News, want to become a legitimate news source, stay away A-holes like that and report on how to stop such horrible behavior, not celebrate it. Shame on you guys. Very dissappointed, Kevin Tanner
  10. Wow, not only are you ignorant concerning US History, you really need to get a life.
  11. What in God’s name has taken this guy so long to figure it out?! Kind of a day late and a dollar short I think. They should have looked into optimizing and increasing their manufacturing volume a year ago! Oh but the profit? How many people need to die before they are willing to manufacture at zero profit? Such a hero………
  12. Any reason why the home tests are not accepted?
  13. I do not trust and can not advocate the acceptance of Sinovac or any other Chinese manufactured vaccine. They have no quality control. Basically worthless against B/D variants of covid. I am not a Doctor, but I have read more than one disappointing report concerning the efficacy of that vaccine. Sure, there are some problems with some of the other vaccines, but the numbers are way lower for Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna. I am not a fan of J&J either, but again, from what I have read, even J&J “seems” to have a better track record. Look, I am not, repeat NOT an expert or a medically train MD. I am only sharing what I have read, watched, or seen first hand. So please, do your own research, and at least try to make the most informed decision you can when choosing a vaccine if you haven’t gotten one yet. My kids and I got the Pfizer vaccine and had zero problems. No, I do not work for or hold stock in Pfizer. Just one guys opinion, KT50
  14. Tim, You are exactly correct, mask wearing in the USA has very much become a political issue, not a health issue, as is getting or not getting vaccinated. It is truly sickening how politics has crept into almost all areas of life here in America. Kevin Tanner Praying the covid restrictions go away soon.
  15. How much worse can this get before the Thai people take their country back and or at least demand some accountability from the people who are failing them? I can see no reason to visit Thailand, when there are so many more welcoming and nice places with much better vaccination rates and few, if any, restrictions on “FARANGS”.
  16. Does anyone here REALLY believe there won’t be an E, F, G, H, etc “variant” of covid? It is a virus. Viruses mutate. Viruses spread. Wear a mask if you like, yes a vaccine may help, but there is not now, nor has there ever been a total 100% cure/fix/stop to a virus. EVER. It is not going away. It will continue to unfortunately end the lives of some. For those of us still alive, how about we start living.
  17. For the sake of the Thai people, I hope it works, but I can not see this drawing many folks. Way to many restrictions and absolutely vague information concerning specifics.
  18. My question is why do people still think this sandbox model will work?
  19. Why would the Thai Military not stop that and protect the boarder?
