Comports with my observations this month. We normally don't use a/c during the day, only at night in the master bedroom, wife sets it to 24c with a fan on to move air around as well.
About 75% of the last electric bill period was during this elevated hot weather period and we've been using a/c in the house almost all day, set between 28-30c with fans on. This is the first time I've tried using the higher temp settings and I've got to say, when it's 40c+ outside, having the a/c set to 30c with a fan on makes the room very comfortable.
Normal electric bill is 2,700-3,500. Was bracing for a big bill this time, thought at least 4,000 Baht at the low end and very easily a lot more than that.
Got the bill on the 18th. 3,100 Baht! Couldn't believe it.
And you wonder why people from the US who bring in 10 times more money to spend have stop coming and leaving.
And why you keep having more and more Russian issues
I am a high ranking US official and a Doctor and I guess we forgot to helped build Thailand....
So much for new US bases or investments.
Why not hired the best world experts to help with this and many other issues we are having in Thailand instead of wasting so much valuable time.
I wouldn't go to a auto mechanic to have a heart operation. Why try and keep doing things that are not aligned with what we are really trying to accomplish by helping the Thai people being taken care of without putting up with a bunch of things that are hunting them instead.
Your hate speech and veiled threats are unwarranted. Ask a normal person with a sense of humor to explain this short exchange to you. And next time, keep my name out of your mouth.
^ To go to show how much I don't mind "travel days" in Thailand
On May 10th I wake up in Railay Beach
I will have to arrange a private long tail boat because it will be 6:30am
I am flying to BKK and have 1 hour to catch a flight, on a different airline, to Trat
And I am not the least bit worried
Even if I miss my flight can either take the later one or hop in a taxi for a reasonable price
I wouldn't even attempt that in North America
I don't like it very cold either
But the temperature at the gates are often more than just comfortable
And most of your highlights of the new terminal seem to be fixing the issues I highlighted
As for atmosphere of the airport
I will agree, and it goes for domestic travel in all of Thailand, is an absolute pleasure, especially compared to North America....
I never am bothered when I have a travel day in Thailand
And I will be landing in BKK in about 21 hours.
