Snack seller hangs herself

PHUKET TOWN: The body of a young woman was found yesterday morning hanging from a concrete beam in the upper-floor bathroom of her shophouse on Soi Nerttip. Police say the death was a suicide. The victim was Supaporn Auttalee, 23, who sold Thai snacks on Sakdidet Rd, near her home. Pol Capt Rassada Klengvong, of Phuket Town Police Station, said that she used a length of batik fabric to hang herself. The victim’s husband, Viset, told police that K. Supaporn had debts of some 50,000 baht and had complained that her business was failing. She had also received several phone calls and visits from debt collectors in recent days, K. Viset said. Police said she had been dead for about three or four hours when K. Viset found her.
