Health Office Chief transferred
PHUKET: Dr Boonrieng Chuchaisangrat, Chief of Phuket’s Provincial Health Office (PHO), has been reassigned to an equivalent post in the northern province of Uttaradit. His transfer will take effect on January 24. Replacing him will be Dr Wanchai Sattayawutitong, currently the Director of the International Health Division of the Office of the Permanent Secretary in Bangkok. Dr Boonrieng told the Gazette, “I’ve already briefed my assistant on my current projects and my health plans for the province, so the new chief can be properly informed. There is nothing to worry about because Dr Wanchai is an expert in dealing with international health issues, which makes him well suited to work in Phuket. “I’ve asked everybody not to organize a farewell party for me, but on Sunday the 20th [of January] I will be going to Wat Ta Reua, in Thalang, in the morning. Everybody is welcome to join me there,” he said.
