American, 61, found dead in Karon

KARON: Police are searching for a Thai woman who may be able to throw light on the circumstances surrounding the death of 61-year-old American citizen David Lee Dilley, whose body was found yesterday. The woman, Nanthira Srimuang, from Ubon Ratchathani province, has not been seen since Mr Dilley’s body was discovered at the couple’s rented house on Patak Rd, Karon, by the landlord. The couple had been together for about five years, the landlord told police. He added that they seemed to have a tempestuous relationship. Mr Dilley did not work and his girlfriend was unemployed. Pol Capt Chana Sutthinas, of Chalong Police Station, said that Mr Dilley had been dead for at least two days. There were no obvious signs of foul play. The body has been sent to Bangkok for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The US Embassy has been notified.
