A male Polish tourist has drowned at Nopparat Thara Beach in Ao Nang, Krabi.

Ao Nang Police were notified of the incident at 1pm yesterday. Officers and emergency responders arrived to find a body of a 49 year old Polish man floating face down 100 metres from the shore. No signs of a struggle were found on his body.

The man’s relatives told police that they were travelling as a group of four people. They say the man went into the water alone while his relatives relaxed on the beach. Then they discovered that the man had vanished from view. So they called national park officers to search for him.
