Father seriously injured after being stabbed by son in Krabi

A father has sustained serious injuries after being stabbed by his drug-addicted son yesterday (August 6) in Krabi.

Klongtom Police in Krabi were notified of the incident at a house in Pru Nadin at about noon.

Police arrived at the house where the injured man, later identified as 53 year old Suwan Jansongsang, had already been taken to Klongtom Hospital. He had sustained a serious injury from a stab wound on his body.

25 year old Paiyan Jansongsang, Mr Suwan’s son, was inside the house. Police found that Paiyan was drunk and under the influence. They found a 30 centimetre-long knife which was covered with blood inside the house.

Witness told police that Mr Suwan had warned his son about his serious drug addiction. Paiyan was allegedly angry and reacted by using the knife to stab his father. Neighbours nearby tried to stop him.

The son has been taken to the Klongtom Police Station for further legal action.
