What medical treatment really costs in Thailand: published prices compiled

“Thailand is cheap for healthcare” is folklore until you see numbers. This page compiles them, only from providers' own published lists.

Last updated: 3 September 2026 · Every figure from a provider's own published list, dated

This page compiles what treatment costs in Thailand from providers’ own published price lists only, each collected on a recorded date, because third-party medical price guides proved as stale in our checking as school-fee aggregators did. Where a market does not publish, we say so rather than guessing. Each row links to the guide that names its sources.

Why prices are public here

Thailand’s private medicine is a consumer market: hospitals sell check-up packages in online stores with package IDs and validity dates, dental clinics publish complete fee schedules, and rehabs quote all-inclusive programmes. That transparency is genuinely unusual, and it cuts both ways, because published prices carry expiry dates and change without notice. Every figure above links to a guide that names its source and collection date.

The three ways bills grow

Complications and pre-existing conditions sit outside package prices, always and explicitly. Medication is quoted separately in most specialties (IVF most sharply). And uninsured inpatients are asked for deposits on admission. The bridge to all three is insurance, covered in our health insurance guides.

Medical costs FAQ

Is healthcare in Thailand really cheaper?

For the published, shoppable categories in the table, substantially: the table is the answer. For emergency and complex inpatient care, costs at the top private tier can still be significant, which is the insurance argument.

Can I trust online price lists?

The provider's own current list, yes, as the price of the day. Third-party price guides aged badly in our checking; we cite only originals.
