Advice sought – which officicial dept to contact about a freeholder who charges exhorbitantly to supply a letter to agree a transfer of ownership.
It would be useful to know how much one should be charged to provide a letter from one’s freeholder to the Phuket Provincial Land Office to transfer a leasehold. Previously this was done by the Kathu District Land Office with no letter required. Our freeholder is demanding 50,000 baht for a letter.
